Our light and ever-popular featherlike mohair yarn.
It's a fine, soft yarn, and an excellent choice for wraps, scarves and shawls, but also knits up beautifully in jumpers and cardigans. Also ideal for knitting in with another yarn to create a haze of mohair, or to provide edging for garments.
Mohair originates from the Angora goats and is known as one of the most exclusive wool fibres. With its long, silky soft and shining fibres, it dyes very easily and it’s possible to obtain the most stunning and clear colours. Mohair insulates both against cold and heat and feels comfortable to wear all year round.
Hand wash Vivaldi at 30°C. Use plenty of water and powder with a neutral Ph value. Never rub the garment but move gently in water. Rinse garment in same temperature water.
IMPORTANT! NEVER LEAVE MOHAIR GARMENTS TO SOAK.
Squeeze water from garment and leave to dry flat on a rail to allow air to circulate round the garment. Keep out of direct sunlight. Never tumble dry as mohair will shrink. Never press or iron mohair. Mohair is a living fibre which will react to body heat and become “alive” when worn. There’s no need therefore to brush the garment after wash.
