Twisty Swirl

It's that time of year to start thinking about our Christmas gift knitting. To help you with ideas, all of the Video Workshops from now until Christmas will be projects perfect for gifting.

This first one is a marriage between two of Yellow Dogs designs, the Twisted and Lovin It and the Misty Swirl. I've named it Twisty Swirl.

Pattern: Twisty Swirl

Needle: US 7 24" circular

Yarn: 270 yds sport weight.

I used Make.Do Realize. This is a beautiful hand dyed yarn line dyed by my friend and long time blogger Vicki Mothes. You can purchase the yarn directly from her at

and read her blog at knitorious

Hi – Thanks so much for this video. Really helpful! I was wondering if you foresee any problem with my casting on 160-180 stitches and about half the demonstrated rows, for a looser more trapezoidal cowl? I don’t routinely mess with written patterns so am feeling a little insecure about this strategy, but it seems to me that it would work. Please advise! With many thanks!
