... ... Next to the Skin Wool for Spring — Yellow Dog Knitting

Even though it may not feel like it, Spring eventually arrives but sometimes she's stylishly late.

Speaking of stylish, it's hard for me to dress for spring. It's chilly in the morning, but I may want bear arms by afternoon and then by early evening I'm back to chilled. I need sweaters that can worn on bear skin. My favorite "next to the skin" wool is, of coarse, Merino. I have some wonderful spring colors of Malabrigo Worsted that just arrived. I am all about comfort and I have found a new love called "leggings". Remember, leggings are
not pants so we have to be careful to cover the derriere with a tunic length. I hopped on Ravelry and looked for ideas: Here's what I added to my que:

Frontenac by Julie Hoover
I have qued quite a few of her designs

Dual Texture Tunic by Melissa Leapman
If you ever get the chance to take a class from Melissa, I highly recommend it.

Horsehoe by Evelyn Hase
Another amazing designer I'm glad to have found.

Speaking of new colors I have also continued my quest through the Cascade 220 alphabetically. With the new arrivals we are now up to:
8906 Blue Topaz . . . I've got a long way to go.

Special Hours March 5th-7th
Tues, March 5th     10 am - 1 pm
Weds, March 6th     11 am - 3 pm

It's been awhile since I've posted a new Video Workshop. There is one coming . . . here's a teaser, and yes, it is Malabrigo.

I have a question. On November 1, 2012 someone modelled the thermis cowl. I am wondering about the sweater that the model is wearing. Could tell me where I could find the pattern. Thanks. Brenda

Gee, I didn’t know bears had problems with things being itchy…

    Miss you Dixie.
